Win and we go top! Plain & Simple Rovers vs Bury Preview

OK folks it comes down to this, pure and simple… Rovers need to beat Bury and they will be top of the league. Thats right TOP OF THE LEAGUE.

However even at this early stage it means nothing at all, but it would be great to make some other teams squirm for a bit. Both Shrewsbury and Wigan have had decent periods at the top, it could be our time to have a moment in the sun.

Rovers could see some players return to the starting eleven such as Darragh Lenihan, and maybe Marcus Antonsson. But for me its all about the Armstrong, if he has his shooting boots on he could go on a riot.

In this preview, here the thoughts from Mowbray, the fans and of course the cat as we try to get to Number 1. Can we do it? Tune in Monday night and find out.

Love All Around – Portsmouth v Blackburn Match Review (1-2)

Blackburn Rovers snatch all 3 points after a hard fought 2-1 away win against a resilient Portsmouth. Rovers headed south on Valentines Day eve with the hope of trying to keep up the pace with the top 2, and they did that and more.

Rovers thanks to Adam Armstrong who bagged both Rovers goals closed the gap to the top 2 place and in fact moved closer to Wigan who stumbled for the 2nd match in a row.

In this video we break down the match and hear thoughts from Tony Mowbray, the fans and of course this nutter.

Massive massive result for Blackburn. On to the next one.

Rovers head to the beach to take on Pompey – Portsmouth v Blackburn Preview

Blackburn Rovers head to the coast to take on Portsmouth who are trying to secure a top 6 spot. Rovers have been very sloppy of late and are looking to get their promotion push back on track.

Rovers still licking their wounds after scrambling for a point on the weekend against Oldham. The current top 2 sides failed to win, so can lightning strike twice within a week? Well if it does, Blackburn need to pounce.

As the game draws closer, I preview the match, hear my thoughts as well as those from other fans, plus a prediction from Cass the Cat.

Rovers Miss Opportunity with Draw – Blackburn v Oldham (2-2) Review

Blackburn Rovers returned to Ewood Park to take on Oldham Athletic with the possibility to get back in to the top 2. However that was not meant to be. As Oldham managed to hold the hosts to a 2-2 draw.

To make matters worse for Rovers, other sides in the promotion race also lost which would have been a prime time to capitalize, but it was not Blackburn’s day. In fact Rovers could have walked away with nothing, as they were 2 goals down at half time. Rovers came out of the blocks in the 2nd half and clawed their way back into the match.

They could have won it, as they threw everything at Oldham (who were eventually down to 10 men) but the held on for a point.

As for the scorers, Skipper Charlie Mulgrew was back in the line up and back on the scoresheet thanks to another trademark free kick, and birthday boy Adam Armstrong scored his 1st Rovers goal, but it was not enough.

Hear the thoughts from Tony Mowbray and Rovers fans from around social media.

Rovers Must Bounce Back ASAP – Blackburn v Oldham Match Preview

Rovers return back to Ewood Park looking to get their promotion push back on track. Standing in their way is Oldham Athletic, who have already beaten Blackburn Rovers this season and who will be looking to the double over Rovers this weekend.

A win for Blackburn and if results go our way we can climb as high as 2nd spot, where as Oldham are looking to get themselves clear of the relegation zone.

As the game draws closer, I preview the match, hear my thoughts as well as those from other fans, plus a prediction from Cass the Cat.
